The pool is heated to approximately 29 degrees Celsius during summer, and around 24 degrees Celsius during winter. It is a salt chlorinated, solar heated inground pool, with a maximum depth of 1.9m at the drain plug. There is one step/seat at either end of the pool.
The pool is NOT to be used by children without supervision, there should always be a competent adult with any child or non-swimmer in the pool area. there are CPR instructions on the fence near the pump.
Please do not take any glass into the pool area as broken glass is difficult and costly to remove from the pool safely. Also please do not interfere with the pump settings, if you find the pumps too noisy, please just turn off all 3 switches on the wooden rail above the filter, and remember to turn them back on when done. There is a wide selection of plastic drinkware located in the kitchen cabinet for you to use.
The pool is serviced and tested every two weeks in summer by Poolwerx Bribie Island, the test card/health check is usually in one of the drawers in the kitchen if you’d like to see it.
It’s OK to remove the creepy-crawly and hose from the pool during your stay (if not already done) please pile it neatly behind the rolled up pool cover in the pool area and we will replace it when we do your departure checklist. It is important that you re-enable the pumps if you turn them off, especially during longer stays, or the health and temperature of the pool will not be properly maintained.
There are some pool toys and a couple of floaty lounges located in the pool area and the garden shed for your use.
If you notice any problems, or strange (louder than normal) noises coming from the pool equipment, please call us immediately.
Above all else, it is the guest’s responsibility to ensure the safety of those using the pool. The pool and fencing complies with Queensland Standards and has been recently certified.
We hope that these rules don’t deter you from enjoying a sunset beverage in the pool!
