Lounge Room
The main lounge has a 50″ LG Plasma TV which is connected to normal free-to-air digital stations. The remote is in the cabinet under the TV. If the remote goes missing, the soft touch controls on the bottom right edge can perform most functions.
In addition to basic TV functions, there is also a Google TV device attached. Although there is no Google Account saved in the device, the games and 
apps already installed should work fine. There is a game controller as well as a multi-function remote for this system.
We have connected our main Netflix account to this box as well, so please select “HDMI1” on the TV, and then use the remote or the gamepad (hold the large center power button down until it lights up and connects) to start Netflix. Once in the app please select the “Dugong Crescent” profile and sign in to enjoy full access to Netflix during your stay. You’re most welcome to sign into Netflix using your own account if you have one.
As the device is a Google Android system, it can also be used for “Casting” content from compatible devices as long as they are connected to the house WiFi.
We don’t imagine guests will be wanting to spend much time indoors at Dugong Crescent, however for the odd rainy day, Netflix and a relaxing evening in can be just as soothing.
Kitchen
There is also a Bluetooth stereo/tuner in the kitchen on the shelf, this is more than loud enough to provide music for the back patio with the doors open. Hold down the bluetooth button on this unit to enter pairing mode and connect your phone or other device. The is a small remote for this system on the shelf with it.
Media Room
Unfortunately, in 2019 the pool table/air hockey table was destroyed, and we just aren’t confident enough in its safety to replace it with similar, as such we are converting the games room to a media room with a 65″ 4k LED TV, ChromeCast Ultra, sound bar and a shelf for easy setup of any games systems. If you install the Google Home app, or any app with “ChromeCast Built In” you can cast your media from your preferred device to any TV in the house. More details to follow.
